Sharing the Peace of Jesus is a joint effort of the churches of the Louisiana Baptist Convention (LBC) and the North American Mission Board (NAMB) with the goal of sharing Jesus with the people of our communities across the state. The LBC and NAMB will be purchasing television commercials and billboards to introduce the “Sharing the Peace of Jesus” Campaign to our entire city and state. Ellerbe Baptist will also be participating in this bold initiative to share the gospel with our friends and neighbors in southeast Shreveport. The plan is very simple, but your part in the plan is absolutely essential. On Saturday, March 27th at 9:00 a.m. a continental breakfast will be available in the Family Life Center. I am asking every member of Ellerbe to come to the church to get the materials and then simply go and give it to your neighbors. For those willing to help outside their own neighborhood, we have four new neighborhoods that we would like to get information into. The materials will contain the plan of salvation, an invitation to our Easter Egg Hunt, and an invitation to join us for worship on Easter Sunday. It is non-intrusive and non-threatening. For residents that are not at home, the bag containing the information is made so that you can simply hang it on the door knob. Your neighbor will have the opportunity to fill out a response card in order to receive a free DVD called “The Case for Christ” by popular author, Lee Strobel.
